A Brake Drum from the SIP Performance range，for all 8” wheeled Vespa models.
The ‘Sei Giorni Style’ design is strongly inspired by the type of brake drum fitted to the Sei Giorni (Six Days) racing Vespa models from the fifties; identifiable through the four cut-outs for the valve protruding from the wheel，which are also visible from behind the wheel when mounted.
The ‘VBB Style’ brake drum has a ribbed surface，as found on the original VB and VBA/VBB drums，including the star-shaped arrangement on the outermost rib.
Both types are fully compatible with both front and rear brakes and can be plug ＆ play mounted to all 8” wheel hubs.
They allow the use of the standard type brake shoe，without modification.
All wheel rim types available for these models can be fitted，even badly produced reproductions that do not even fit the original drums without mechanical persuasion！
To ensure a genuine improvement in braking performance SIP tested and discovered the best materials for the production of these advanced brake drums.
Improvised methods，such as scratching up the surface for a short term improvement，were unnecessary as we established the most ideal combinations of materials to guarantee an improved and enduring braking performance.
When combined with the SIP Performance brake shoes (e.g.＃ 87570100 or ＃ 87340100) even the scooters fitted with more potent Largeframe motors can be adequately reined in.
A more precise braking point can also be realised due in part to the extremely sturdy construction and increased mechanical stability.
These SIP Performance brake drums also have their outer surface nitrided black to protect against corrosion.
The outer flank of the ‘Sei Giorni’ version is also decorated with detailed but decent SIP logo.
As a reflection of the very high-quality standard，these items are CNC machined from billet aluminium.
Their exact dimensioning，concentricity and axial symmetry are precise with production tolerances reduced to the absolute minimum.
A constant braking performance is guaranteed，whether on short urban trips or manoeuvring your scooter down a steep and winding mountain pass.
An even heat distribution and dissipation was also considered during their development and incorporated into their final design.
