A brake upgrade kit to improve the performance and control of the Vespa 8” front drum brake.
The early Vespa models are not known for having a particularly effective front brake.
Vespas equipped with 8” wheels are especially plagued with bad quality brake drums in a bad condition and worn or aged peripheral components，but an effective front brake is just as essential for these models as later types after all！
Effective force transmission，from the lever to the tyre.
Zero concentric run-out for constant brake control.
A selection of high quality materials for the construction of each component.
The replacement of just a few basic parts facilitates the effective improvement of even these minimally dimensioned brakes.
We have compiled a kit that，once fitted，will bring the old divas to a halt quicker than was ever possible with the original parts！
We have had brand-new brake drums produced that are exactly round with the frictional material arranged to create an ideal frictional value and also prevent warping out of shape.
Their stability and design also facilitates improved heat transference and brake cooling.
The complete force exerted by the rider to operate the front brake is transmitted effectively to the brake and is not lost through the mechanical play or bad material quality of the systems components.
The SIP Performancebrake cables offer minimal internal friction and maximal form stability.
These features also contribute to an improved braking，by ensuring the complete force applied to the brake lever actually reaches the brake mechanism.
The SIP brake shoes have a softer frictional material applied than the originals.
This creates a higher frictional value and additional braking performance.
Conclusion：These three basic components combined make indefinite braking distances on early vintage Vespa models anecdotal.
