The SIP Brake Kit for the front Disc Brake contains the most important components for converting an existing disc brake to radial brake technology.
Brake Disc,radial Brake Calliper and Axle Seating have been tested and approved by the Federal Motor Transport Authority as a replacement for the original PIAGGIO disc brake components.
The part type approval is enclosed in printed form.
The enclosed Brake Disc from European production is optimally matched to the brake pad mixture of the Brake Calliper.
The result is homogeneous braking performance,good modulation and a long service life.
The Brake Disc is also marked with an E-number.
If an original PIAGGIO master cylinder is available,it can continue to be used.
Alternatively,SIP offers a brake pump CNC-milled in Germany,known from the custom scooter “Glorious Basterd”.
It features the same tried-and-tested GRIMECA inner workings,but with a significantly higher-quality appearance and material quality.
The ultimate choice for many classic car riders:the compact CRIMAZ brake pumps based on the master cylinders of the PIAGGIO TPH.
They are so compact that they are almost invisible under the Handlebar - ideal for anyone who wants to preserve the classic vintage look.
The right to register the components in the vehicle documents exists for models that are equipped with a Steering Head and Brake Master Cylinder for Disc Brake as standard,such as the PX 98 or Millennium models.
Many other models can be retrofitted with these components and then also legalized.
The accompanying certificates prove that the brake components and the wheel can demonstrably withstand the characteristic loads of all classic Vespa models.
This means that individual approval is usually also possible for rarer or converted models.
Disc Brakes can be installed on classic cars by fitting a PK-based SIP Conversion Steering Column.
