Ferrule for throttle- and gear cables in the headset
The outer housings of the gear- and the throttle cables sit in their stops in the baseplate in the headset，with a ferrule at their end.
This bushing both centres the cable in the recess of the baseplate and also aligns it with the gear- and the throttle-pulleys.
This not only makes shifting and opening the throttle easier，it also means your cables will last longer.
Piaggio has stopped producing these parts for a number of models.
SIP has remade the ferrules to the high quality of the original specification，using the correct low friction material.
Cables and their housing should be checked regularly.
