This clutch basket is MMW’s answer to clutch problems that occur with highly tuned motors.
Does this sound familiar？ - you have to install a new clutch basket every 2000 km cause you trashed the old one - must have been all those wheelies you’ve been pulling.
The “Superstrong” clutch basket has been machined from the solid and subsequently “nitrided” (hardened).
This prevents the tabs of the clutch linings from getting into the basket.
Due to the massive construction，there are no more problems with torn clutch baskets.
The “Superstrong” does not require the standard COSA 2 clutch baseplate.
It is designed for 10 COSA springs.
Due to the one-piece construction eliminates tearing off the rivets in this basket completely.
The wave profile makes the connection between the inner part and clutch basket much more stable and provides more feeling and easier operation of the clutch.
The “Superstrong JM” is an even more stable version of the “Superstrong”.
The inner diameter of the basket is 1mm smaller.
This increases the material thickness of the tabs by 0.5mm and makes them more resistant.
Due to the narrower diameter and the pads are guided more accurate.
As a result，the clutch works more precisely and sensitively.
The basket of the “Superstrong JM” is not nitrided.
This should make the material even more resistant to high forces.
However，the basket becomes more susceptible to wear by the tabs of the pads.
Practical tests have shown that this effect is negligible.
Even more ideal is the combination with coverings on aluminum carrier material.
