The qualities of the SIP radial brake caliper are unsurpassed and documented in videos，article descriptions and tests：one-piece monoblock construction，forged material and a load capacity increased by a factor of ten - these are some of the key terms in the CV of the 5644 Brake Calliper.
The “Disc Brake RADIAL SIP Series PORDOI front” kit combines the SIP Brake Calliper and its Axle Seating with the Wheel Hub 5/86 ET30 to form a complete front disc brake.
The SIP PORDOI rim 6505 as well as the SIP Rim star and other brands such as the beautiful Polini rim can be fitted here.
Unlike the classic Grimeca Disc Brake kits，the SIP Disc Brakes do not include semi-hydraulic master cylinders.
Instead，the additional purchase of a Brake Master Cylinder or brake pump is required.
We recommend the original Piaggio master cylinder pumps，which are approved for road use as standard equipment in the PX98/MY Vespas (item no.
GR359220).
Alternatively，SIP offers a brake pump CNC-milled in Germany，known from the custom scooter “Glorious Basterd”.
It impresses with the same proven inner workings，but with a significantly higher-quality look and material quality.
The ultimate choice for many classic bike riders：the compact Crimaz brake pumps，based on the master cylinders of the Piaggio TPH.
They are so small that they are almost invisible under the Handlebar - ideal for anyone who wants to retain the classic vintage look.
There are two alternatives for the Brake Hose：either buy a Spiegler hose - available in many suitable lengths and colors，with easy installation and an enclosed TUV Approval - or use the SIP Bra ided Steel Hose (Stahlflex)，the length of which can be freely cut to size.
In this case，however，installation is “at your own Cap”.
All components of the SIP front radial Disc Brake for the SIP Rim 6505 “Series PORDOI” have been tested.
Installation and operation are approved by a parts certificate (TGA).
The enclosed parts certificate (TGA) includes the parts type approval (TTG) for the Brake Calliper 5644 with Axle Seating 39072 as well as the TGA for the Wheel Hub 39044 and the TTG for the Rim 6505 “Pordoi”.
Models that are equipped with a Steering Head and Brake Master Cylinder for Disc Brake as standard - such as the PX 98 or Millennium models - are entitled to registration.
Many other models can be retrofitted with these components and then legalized in the same way.
The accompanying certificates prove that the brake components and the wheel can demonstrably withstand the characteristic loads of all classic Vespa models.
This means that individual approval is usually also possible for rarer or converted models.
Disc Brakes can be installed on classic cars by fitting a PK-based SIP Conversion Steering Column.
