Torque drive converter from SIP Performance for a perfect power transmission
There’s not much point of increasing the power output of any scooters engine if its gearbox is not able to transmit the increased performance to the rear wheel.
To solve this issue we decided to provide this SIP Performance ‘Torque Driver’ for the different PIAGGIO engines.

The more aggressive acceleration provided by our tuning pulley is enabled by including a pair of asymmetrically angled linerar slots.
This allows the motor to quickly rise to a higher rev range while retaining an optimal torque delivery,ensuring transmission of the complete motor performance to the rear wheel.
The original items are equipped with curved slots which create a noticeable lag in acceleration.
The original driven pulleys are mass-produced,badly balanced (if at all) and the potential quality of these engines suffers enormously as a result.
To have balanced components in the drive train is essential in avoiding excessive vibration.
Our SIP ‘Torque Driver’ is the ideal complement to a well assembled drive train due to its high production quality,the high-quality components including oil seals and bearings,as well as the fine balancing during their manufacture.
The choice of slot is decided according to the overall set up of the engine,although there is no way around setting up the peripheral components of the drive train (roller weights,torsion spring,etc.) to work together as harmoniously as possible.
To ensure the fruits of your efforts do not go unrecorded a before and after test can easily be carried out using an acceleration sensor (included in our SIP Speedometer/rev-counter) for guaranteed bragging rights!
Installation Instructions
The current version of the driven pulley includes a 1mm spacer.
This may be required in individual cases for HPE models,as PIAGGIO has changed the height of the clutch and contact may occur between the driven pulley (on the reinforcement) and the clutch (on the rivets).
The spacer is placed between the driven pulley and the clutch.
To get a perfect setup use a Vario such as SIP PERFORMANCE,a sport clutch e.g.
Malossi Delta Clutch and a suitable clutch bell like POLINI Evolution.
Conclusion:The converter is a useful component for both tuned and standard motors.
