If a Cylinder has a few thousand kilometers behind it，the Piston Rings or even the Piston should be replaced to ensure reasonable compression.

Piston Rings form the link between the Piston and the cylinder bore.
They are subject to heavy wear and tear and should be replaced regularly.
Loss of compression，diminishing performance and poor starting behavior are clear indications of worn Piston Rings.
