The lock plate is the part of the of the seat locking mechanism that bolts to the chassis.
When lowering the seat the hook of the seat slides under the bridge and locks the seat.
Apply a graphite based grease regularly to reduce wear.
The plate is mounted to the chassis with two bolts in slot holes.
Use these to adjust the bridge position so that the seat，when lowered，locks easily without further fiddling.
