Since January 2013,there is no longer an 80 km/h limit for class A1 light motorcycles.
This opens up completely new perspectives in the field of legal tuning.
As original PX80 Cylinders have not been produced for a long time,anyone looking for a replacement Cylinder for their PX80 had to either fall back on a used part or install a Racing Cylinder with 135 cc or 139 cc.
However,the latter was not legally possible for riders with a “small license” up to 125 cc.

Legal,safe and fast on public roads
The SIP 125 cc Racing Cylinder,which we have legalized with a parts certificate,provides a remedy.
This means that it can be easily registered with the TUV without expensive performance,brake or noise measurements.
To keep thermal expansion as low as possible,the Cylinder is equipped with a Meteor Piston with 1.2 mm Piston Rings.
This promises minimum wear and maximum durability.
The specially revised Cylinder Head also ensures the correct compression.
If the Engine is already old or has many kilometers behind it,an engine overhaul is recommended before the conversion.
Crankshaft bearings,Oil Seals and Cruciform in particular are typical wear parts on Vespa two-stroke engines.
The kit is also a good basis for further tuning.
Caution:However,this invalidates the parts certificate.
Opening up the Engine,for example,offers the possibility of changing to a better Crankshaft.
If open-heart surgery is being carried out anyway,the tuning should be sensibly rounded off with tuned transmission components.

When installing,check the Ignition System and at least replace the Spark Plug and set the ignition timing to 19° before top dead center.
When increasing performance,make sure the brakes are in good condition,for example with our SIP Performance Brake Pads.
