Sometime in the 2000s Piaggio discovered the rear silent rubber，presumably as a cost optimisation potential，and standardised the shape for almost all models.
The original，wide silent rubber at the rear of the shock absorber of the older models，especially the Largeframes，fell by the wayside.
From VNA 1959 onwards，it was also found in early PXs and Vespa Cosas.
