Stator plates are often defective on older Vespas.
The smallframe stator plates have been out of production for a long time.
That is why we have taken on this issue.
With the sets ignition coils，breaker，condenser and stator plate，new stator plates can be built.
They are the basis for our own SIP stator plates，which are assembled in our Austrian wiring harness factory.
Unfortunately we are often out of stock on these special items.
With these sets all 2-/3-coil smallframes can be equipped，even if national differences lead to different PIAGGIO reference numbers.
With these sets you now have almost everything you need to assemble a new statir plate.

For the ignition，light and supply coils we use exclusively Italian coils.
The breakers and condensers are from EFFE，Italy.
SIP has had new moulds made for the aluminium base plates.
There are different versions of the smallframe engines with breaker ignition：
2-coil with internal ignition coil：With 6V 15W light coil.
This corresponds 1：1 to the original and is only intended for original restorations.
It must not be installed with suppressed spark plugs，spark plug connectors or cables.
2-coil for external ignition coil：With 6V 15W (single or boosted) light coil or 6V 25W for models with high beam.
3-coils for external ignition coil：In addition to the charging coil，2 light coils 6V 10W (parking/brake light) and 6V 25W (driving light/horn).
Here we distinguish between models with and without handlebar indicators.
For tuned smallframe engines with standard internal ignition coil，we recommend converting to a stator plate with external ignition coil.
This has a higher ignition voltage and is less sensitive to humidity and temperature.
The increased compression of the engine also increases the required ignition voltage.
With the internal ignition coil，this can lead to so-called high-voltage breakdowns，which destroy the ignition coil.
Models with brake lights require a 6V 15W bulb/sofitte.
No assembly instructions are supplied.
Conclusion：If you know something about electrics，you can build a new stator plate with these sets.
Order a new external ignition coil.
Flywheel puller，piston stopper and degree disc make working on the ignition easier.
Check wiring harness for defects and replace if necessary.
Also order cable lugs and cables.
The surface of the contacts on breakers can oxidise.
It may have to be cleaned.
New breakers should be readjusted after 50-80 km.
Otherwise misfiring may occur.
With 6V stator plates，only 6V and no 12V bulbs can be used.
If the brake light is defective，there is also no ignition spark with 2-coil stator plates.
Screws，cable lugs and cables are not included in the scope of delivery.
