Anyone who has ever painstakingly derusted their tank with tank deruster or broken glass and then resealed it will sing the praises of a new tank：The effort involved in derusting is out of all proportion to the low price of a new tank.

Tanks are also reproduced in premium quality by hand in collaboration with a master craftsman using Plates.
These are produced according to original patterns，fit very well，are primed and do not have to shy away from comparison with the originals.
The tanks of the Vespa Largeframe models were mainly available in three sizes：Models from VNA to Sprint had 7.7 liters as standard.
Compared to its predecessor models，the Vespa PX has a tank with a slightly different base，Elevating the volume to 8.0 liters.
Models with separate lubrication lose another 0.5 liters and are at 7.5 liters - the reason is the oil filler neck，which is routed through the fuel tank and thus reduces the volume.
The Vespa GS160，SS180 and Rally have special tanks in the Vespa Largeframe series：their tanks are extended upwards.
This creates space for an additional 0.5 liters，i.e.
the original 8.2 liters.
Unfortunately，these tanks do not fit under most seats，as the elevated tank top collides with the seat frame.
Therefore，please only combine with seats built for Vespa GS160，SS180 or Rally.
Interesting for all road dogs among you is the SIP XL tank for all old-school Vespas：The base comes from a PX tank，the upper part from a Rally tank.
This increases the tank capacity to approx.
8.5 liters.
Attention：Some Indian tanks (some produced as spare parts for Bajaj) only have a volume of 6-7 liters.
Tanks from the PX series onwards are screwed to the Frame with four Screws (two at the front and two at the rear).
The previous models，Sprint and older，only had the tank attached to the rear with two Screws; at the front，the tank was clamped through the Seat and held in position.
The tanks are basically interchangeable.
However，the edge of the PX tanks is slightly wider and - depending on the seat fitted - is visible between the Frame and Seat Frame.
The tanks of the Vespa Largeframe series from VNA to PX 1° are closed with a hinged lid，which is fixed in place with a Knurled Screw.
This is simple and reliable，but somewhat cumbersome when refueling，as Screws take time.
From the PX Lusso models onwards，these Tank Caps were replaced by versions with a bayonet lock：The Cap is turned just under half a turn and snaps securely into place - quickly and without effort.
Attention：Please pay attention to the respective scope of delivery of the Tank.
Unless otherwise stated，Small parts such as knurled nut，Gasket and Cotter Pin are missing.
These can be taken from the old tank or (better) ordered directly.
There are two different types of Fuel Gauge：
One is original PIAGGIO with twist lock and existing connection cables.
The other variant is screwed on and has two connections for the corresponding wiring.
Fitting Fuel Gauges are mainly installed on LML tanks.
This means that if an LML tank is replaced with a PIAGGIO tank，only the connections need to be re-crimped - otherwise both tanks are identical.
Both variants can be fitted directly and are supplied with matching gaskets.
Always make sure you have the right Fuel Tap and order it at the same time if required
The Fuel Tap Lever should always match the Model.
