Throttle Slide from SIP Performance for your valuable classic car
The more Game the Throttle Slide gets in the carburetor housing，the less precise and wobbly the carburetor setting becomes.
The first SI carburettors，which include the 27 series in particular，are now over 60 years old and have exceeded their intended service life many times over.
Suitable for Dell’Orto SI 27 Carburettors
As original spare part and as tuning

The 3.0 Throttle Slide corresponds to the original Dell’Orto Throttle Slide with the spare part number 5963-3.
The shape of the cut-out on the underside is exactly the same as the original.
The surface is also hard anodized.
The only difference is that the production method，which we use CNC，is considerably more precise than Dell’Orto’s production at the time.
As far as we know，this Slider was installed in the SS180 vehicles and fits very well in most of the setups known to us.
The 3.1 Slider has a long，narrow cut-out.
There is no historical model to which it corresponds.
The transition area between the main and Idle Jet is therefore fatter and the additional air admixture extends over a larger area.
The 3.2 Slider has no cut-out on the underside.
This means that individual cut-out shapes can be made and any original slide can be reproduced.
Note：With the help of the Main Air Correction Jet，it is usually possible to adjust the timing of the Main Air Correction Jet to the position of the CutOut.
You can even look into the intake cross-section of the carburettor while the Engine is running and see at which throttle slide stroke fuel starts to drip from the main brass tube; the Engine often starts to jerk and four-stroke at this moment because the mixture is too rich.
Conclusion：These Throttle Slides improve adjustability and reliability and make it possible to restore the Carburettor to almost new condition.
