The CNC-milled precision Throttle Slides from the SIP Performance line are the icing on the cake when tuning the SI carburettor.
Anyone who has mastered the tuning of the SI carburettor will certainly have already made the acquaintance of these sliders from our company.
The “4.0” versions for 24，26 and 28 mm passage are a safe choice if you want to achieve very good carburetor tuning quickly and in a targeted manner.

The SI carburettor has two fuel jets：a Main Jet and an Idle Jet.
The Idle Jet operates at low throttle valve lift; the main jet takes over at half throttle and above.
In the transition area，both nozzle systems overlap，which usually leads to the mixture becoming richer.
As a rule，you can even look into the intake cross-section of the carburettor when the Engine is running and see from which slide stroke fuel drips from the main brass pipe.
Engine often starts to jerk and four-stroke at this point because the mixture is too rich.
The SIP 4.0 Throttle Slide with the large air pocket on the underside (CutOut) offers a remedy.
This Bag allows additional air to be added and thus balances out the excess gasoline content.
The start of the air admixture is precisely adjusted.
The Main Air Correction Jet can also be used to “time” the start of the main jet.
In addition to the 4.0 Throttle Slide，the 4.1 Slider offers a smaller cut-out and the 4.2 no cut-out at all.
This allows a richer transition area to be created，or sliders with individual CutOuts can be produced on this basis.
The manufacturing process of the SIP Throttle Slides is considerably more precise than that of the original parts.
This also improves adjustability.
The hard-anodized surface is extremely wear-resistant and makes the component absolutely reliable in the long term.
4.0 with large recess.
Often good in combination with BE3 and BE2 Mixer Tubes.
4.1 Recess half the size of 4.0，richer mixture when inserting the main nozzle block，approximately at 1/3 throttle slide stroke.
4.2 without cut-outs.
Significantly richer mixture in the middle and lower range or ideal basis for making individual Throttle Slide cut-outs.
