With the introduction of the SIP Performance Wiring Loom series，we are closing a gap between many other SIP Performance parts.
If you buy a SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and a SIP Performance VAPE Ignition for your scooter，you can use a SIP Performance Wiring Loom to connect almost all the speedometer and Ignition connections plug ＆ play.
There is no need to search for the right Wire，for example for the speedometer power supply

The “Wiring Loom SIP Performance for conversion to electric Ignition with electric Starter SIP PERFORMANCE VAPE AC” not only enables conversion to modern 12 V electrics，but also supports the Connection of a PX-type Engine with electric Starter.
The AC version of this e-start Wiring Loom requires a Battery.
The electrical system is designed in the same way as modern PX Lusso models：The Starter and Horn are only supplied from the Battery when required.
The Wiring Loom also has a power supply plug for the Blackbox 2.0 of the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter - this is also powered by the battery.
All other consumers work with alternating current.
Subsequent conversion to full DC is not possible with this variant.
In this case，please use the corresponding DC version of the SIP Performance Wiring Loom.
The Wiring Loom provides a separate power supply for the speedometer black box at the rear of the scooter.
The handlebar cable branch，which connects the Light Switch and Headlight Unit，also provides a separate power supply for the speedometer illumination of the original speedometer.
Please insulate this carefully if a SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter is installed instead.
A handlebar cable load is available as an accessory，which supports the speedometer button Plug ＆ Play in combination with the SIP Light Switch (SIP item no.
60091100 or 60091300).
Two wires lead from the Wiring Loom without further connection into the Handlebar (red and black-green).
The actual start button must be connected to these.
To start，the two wires must be connected through the Switch (Lock function).
The button supplied with the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter as a changeover switch can be used here，for example.
The wires for connecting the starter relay (black-green and pink) end at the rear of the Wiring Loom.
Connect black-green to Plug 86，pink to Plug 85 of the Relays.
The Battery and starter motor are connected via a separate Wiring harness (SIP part no.
21882000 or 21882100).
This is not included in the scope of delivery of the Wiring Loom.
The required starter relay is also not included in the scope of delivery.
Connect the cable to the Relays to Plug 30 and the cable to the Starter to Plug 87
.
Two further cables end at the rear of the Wiring Loom：pink and black.
These must be connected to a safety switch which，for example，connects the two wires together when the Clutch is pulled.
We recommend the Brake Light Switch here.
It can be attached to the Engine Swing Arm Pivot (Traverse) with the Clutch Lever with Holding Plate (SIP item no.
86134077) and hooked onto the Clutch Lever with its Spring.
When the Clutch is pulled，the Switch locks the circuit and releases the electric starter.
Note：The Switch is specified as an “opener” in the item description，as it works the other way round on the Brake Pedal.
Insert on the Clutch Lever relieves the Spring when pulled - this causes the Switch to Lock and activate the starter.
Further features of the SIP Performance AC Wiring Looms
Prepared for use of the VAPE voltage regulator.
Operation with Battery，but no later conversion to full DC possible.
Handlebar end indicators：The wires from the Indicator Switch to the indicators are included.
12 V DC horn can be connected.
Prepared for a 2-pole AC Indicator Relay for 12 V.
Prepared for rocker switch or Ignition Lock in the rear of the vehicle.
6.3 mm flat plug sockets are installed，suitable for the enclosed rocker switch.
When using the ignition lock SIP item no.
31113000 or 31110000 ，the enclosed 4.8 mm flat sockets must be used.
For vehicles with a 4-pin ignition lock (SIP item no.
31113000，31114000 or 31110000) or corresponding Steering Head preparation，the Wiring Loom can be extended with the Wiring Loom .
Cable ends for the Light Switch and LF Brake Light Switch are stripped and tinned to prevent damage when fitting.
On SF Models，the enclosed 4.8 mm flat sockets for the Brake Light Switch must be crimped on.
The protective hose to the Rear Light is split in two (brown Adhesive Tape).
On very old scooters with a welded-in tube，one half of the Inner Tube can be removed without damaging the
Wiring Loom
The Wire Brake Light Switch on the foot brake pedal must be a Lock version，for example SIP part no.
18187810 or
18163710.
The protective Inner Tube for the parts of the Wiring Loom running inside the chassis is deliberately designed with a larger diameter.
This allows the Wiring Loom to be fitted flat to the frame geometry below the Steering Head，making installation easier.
Caution：Always handle the plugs for the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter with extreme care and never pull in the Wiring Loom using these plugs or cables.
These wires only have a cross-section of 0.5 mm and - like the plugs - are not designed to absorb large forces.
Always screw the ground cable of the Wiring Loom (black cable with 5 mm eyelet) in the Steering Head together with the ground connection of the Steering Head cable branch (also black cable with 5 mm eyelet) to ensure a correct ground connection.
Conclusion：The perfect plug ＆ play solution for anyone who does not want to delve deeper into scooter electrics，but would prefer to “plug together” according to instructions.
