With the introduction of the SIP Performance Wiring Loom series，we are closing a gap between many other SIP Performance parts.
Anyone who purchases a SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and a SIP Performance VAPE Ignition for their scooter can use a SIP Performance Wiring Loom to plug ＆ play almost all the connections for the Speedometer/Rev Counter and Ignition.
There is no need to search for the right Wire to supply power to the speedometer，for example.

The Wiring Loom SIP Performance for conversion to electric Ignition with electric Starter SIP PERFORMANCE VAPE DC not only allows conversion to modern 12V electrics，but also supports the Connection of a PX-type Engine with electric Starter.
The DC variants of the SIP Performance Wiring Looms are designed for concepts with a Battery.
All consumers are supplied directly from the battery，the alternator power is used exclusively for recharging the battery.
A handlebar cable load (SIP item no.
86134051) is available as a replacement part，which supports the Plug ＆ Play speedometer button in conjunction with the SIP Light Switch (SIP item no.60091100 or 60091300).
Two wires from the Wiring Loom end in the Handlebar (red and black-green) without any further connection.
The actual start button must be connected to these.
To start，the two wires must be connected using the Switch (Lock function).
For example，the button that is also supplied with the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter as a changeover switch can be used here (SIP item no.
50000120).
The wires for connecting the starter relay (black-green and pink) end in the rear part of the Wiring Loom.
Connect black-green to Plug 86 of the Relays，pink to Plug 85.
Connection of the Battery and the starter motor is made using a separate Wiring harness (SIP part no.
21882000 or 21882100).
This is not included in the scope of delivery of the Wiring Loom.
The starter relay (SIP item no.
PI58115R) is also not included in the scope of delivery of the Wiring Loom.
On the Relays，connect the Wire to the Battery to Plug 30 and the Wire to the Starter to Plug 87.
Two further Wires end in the rear part of the Wiring Loom：pink and black.
These must be connected to a safety switch which，for example，connects the two wires together when the Clutch is pulled.
The Brake Light Switch SIP item no.
18419000 is recommended for this purpose.
The switch can be attached to the Engine’s Traverse with the Clutch Lever with Holding Plate (SIP item no.
86134077) and hooked onto the Clutch Lever with its Spring.
When the Clutch is pulled，the Switch locks and releases the electric start process.
The Switch is specified as an “opener” in the item description，as it is used in the opposite direction on the Brake Pedal.
When used on the Clutch Lever，the Spring is relieved when pulled and the Switch closes the circuit.
The wiring harness is prepared for use with the VAPE Rectifier with SIP item no.
51008200.
The VAPE Classic Rectifier SIP item no.
51008220 can be connected with the Wiring Loom SIP item no.
86134054 without further modification of the Wiring Loom.
With Battery，Full-DC.
Handlebar end indicators：The wires from the Indicator Switch to the indicators are included.
12 V DC Horn can be connected.
Pre-fitting for a 2-pole DC Indicator Relay for 12 V.
Preparation for rocker switch or Ignition Lock in the rear of the vehicle.
6.3 mm flat plug sockets are installed，which fit directly onto the rocker switch supplied.
In conjunction with the Ignition Locks SIP-Art.Nr.
31113000 or SIP-Art.Nr.
31110000 ，these must be replaced by the enclosed 4.8 mm flat sockets.
For vehicles with an existing 4-pin Ignition Lock (SIP part no.
31113000，31114000 or 31110000) in the Steering Head，the Wiring Loom can be extended accordingly using the SIP part no.
86134058 Wiring Loom.
The Wire ends for the Light Switch or LF Brake Light Switch are stripped and tinned to prevent damage when fitting.
For SF，the enclosed 4.8 mm blade terminals for the Brake Light Switch must be crimped on.
The protective hose to the Rear Light is split in two (marked with brown Adhesive Tape).
For very old scooters with a welded-in tube，one half of the protective tube can be removed without damaging the strands with a cutter.
The Brake Light Switch on the foot brake pedal must be a Lock version，for example SIP part no.
18187810 or 18163710.
The protective tube for the parts of the Wiring Loom running in the chassis is deliberately designed with a large diameter.
This allows the Wiring Loom to be fitted flat to the frame geometry below the Steering Head，which makes installation much easier.
The DC Wiring Looms are supplied with two Fuse Holders and one 10 A fuse each.
This is the maximum value; Fuses with a higher rated current must not be installed.
Caution：Always handle the plugs for the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter with extreme care and never pull in the Wiring Loom using these plugs or cables.
These wires only have a cross-section of 0.5 mm and - like the plugs - are not designed to absorb large forces.
Fitting the earth cable of the Wiring Loom (black cable with 5 mm eyelet) in the Steering Head together with the earth connection of the Steering Head cable branch (also black cable with 5 mm eyelet) to ensure a correct earth connection.
The black ground cable to the Engine with 6 mm eyelet must also be connected to the VAPE CDI.
To do this，attach the ground cable from the Wiring Loom to the Engine and equip the CDI with the ground cable SIP item no.
58484031 (not included in the scope of delivery of the Wiring Loom).
Fitting this Wire to the Casing of the CDI and to the Engine to ensure a reliable ground connection to the CDI.
Conclusion：The perfect plug ＆ play solution for anyone who does not want to delve deeply into scooter electrics，but would prefer to “plug together” according to instructions.
