The Speedometer/Rev Counter 2.0 from SIP Performance is a modern instrument cluster for classic Vespa and Lambretta models.
The SIP Rev Counter has revolutionized the speedometer market since its launch in 2010.
Functions that were previously only possible with many additional instruments have been combined in one device - with maximum understatement.
Several years and countless customer requests later，we have now developed an update together with KOSO that is well worth seeing：the Speedometer/Rev Counter SIP 2.0.

Based on the classic look The new design is also strongly based on the original speedometers.
The additional functions remain almost invisible as long as the Engine is not running.
The Face Plate largely corresponds to the original in terms of font and position of the km/h display，as do the installation dimensions.
Installation is very simple.
Speed can be measured either via the original Speedometer Cable or via an electronic Speed Sensor.
These sensors are available as replacement parts and replace the maintenance-prone Speedometer Cables together with their mechanical loads.
Independent of power supply or Ignition The Speedometer requires a 12-volt on-board voltage，but a Battery is not required.
The enclosed black box works with both direct and alternating current.
All data is reliably backed up by an internal memory.
It doesn’t matter which 12 V ignition is installed - the Speedometer/Rev Counter 2.0 is compatible with all common ignitions such as SIP-Vape，Vespatronic，Parmakit，Polini and many more.
In conjunction with the SIP PERFORMANCE Ignition by VAPE，either the KOSO signal filter must be used to pick up the rev counter for the DC version，or the brown wire of the SIP Rev Counter must be connected to the white wire of the SIP/VAPE CDI.
The ignition pulse on the tachometer must then be set to “1” for DC and “6” for AC.
Setting and changing the displays is done elegantly using a small Press Button，which can be installed inconspicuously.
Modified Light Switches with an integrated push-button are available for many vehicle models.
This eliminates the need for the enclosed Press Button and the look of the scooter remains unchanged.
A little gimmick：When starting，the Rev Counter performs a self-test and gives a touch of Grand Prix feeling ;-)
The enhancements in detail On the 2.0 Model，you can now choose between an analog speed or rev counter display.
The speedometer needle therefore shows either the revs or the speed.
For longer tours，there are now two individual distances with riding time and average speed available to differentiate between daily and tour distances.
The total distance can also be set - kilometers already ridden with the old speedometer can be carried over.
In conjunction with the SIP Fast Flow with reserve indicator，older model years now also benefit from a Fuel Gauge.
If the fuel is running low，FUEL flashes.
Reinforcement of the overvoltage protection has also been added.
The right design Different dial colors are available depending on the vehicle model.
The VBB version，for example，is also available in beige/white，which comes very close to an original speedometer that has been bleached by the sun.
The carbon look is ideal for a sporty look - modern，striking and perfect for performance setups.
Note：
It is essential to use a suppressed Spark Plug and a suppressed plug connector.
The black box should not be installed in narrow Handlebars，as heat build-up can lead to malfunctions.
