With the introduction of the SIP PERFORMANCE wiring harness range,we are closing a gap between many other SIP PERFORMANCE parts.
If you buy a SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and a SIP PERFORMANCE VAPE Ignition for your scooter,you can use a SIP PERFORMANCE Wiring Loom to connect almost all the connections of the Speedometer/Rev Counter or Ignition via plug-and-play.
There is no need to search for the right Wire,e.g.
for the speedometer power supply.

Sophisticated DC system for an optimal setupThe DC variants of the SIP PERFORMANCE Wiring Looms are designed for concepts with a Battery.
All consumers are powered directly from the battery,while the power from the alternator is used to recharge the battery.
In addition to a switched 12 V DC connection for a possible lambda probe,there is also a 12 V DC connection for a USB socket,e.g.
to charge a cell phone on the road.
The Wiring Loom provides the power supply for the speedometer black box both in the Handlebar and at the rear of the scooter.
This means that the black box can be installed in the desired position on the scooter depending on space and preference.

Preparation for rocker switch (or Ignition Lock) in the rear of the vehicle:6.3 mm flat sockets are installed which fit directly onto the enclosed rocker switch.
In conjunction with the Ignition Lock 31113000 or 31110000 ,these must be replaced with the enclosed 4.8 mm flat sockets.
The Wire ends for the Light Switch or for the LF Brake Light Switch are stripped and tinned to prevent damage when fitting.
For SF,the enclosed 4.8 mm flat plug sockets for the Brake Light Switch must be crimped on.
Preparation for a Brake Light Switch on the Steering Head for solutions with fully hydraulic Disc Brake.
If this is not required,please ensure that the plugs at the Wire ends are well insulated and do not come into contact with metal in the Steering Head.
The protective hose to the Rear Light is split in two (brown Adhesive Tape).
For very old scooters with a welded-in tube to the Rear Light,one half of the protective tube can be removed without running the risk of damaging the strands with a cutter.
The Brake Light Switch on the foot brake pedal must be a “Lock” version,e.g.
article 18187810 or 18163710.
The protective conduit for the parts of the Wiring Loom that run inside the chassis was deliberately installed with a larger diameter.
This allows the Wiring Loom to be adapted to the dimensions in the Frame when passing through the Frame below the Steering Head,which makes installation considerably easier.ATTENTION:Always handle the plugs for the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter with extreme care and never pull in the Wiring Loom on these plugs or wires.
These wires only have a cross-section of 0.5 mm and - like the plugs - are not designed to absorb large forces.
Fitting the earth cable of the Wiring Loom (black cable with 5 mm eyelet) in the Steering Head together with the earth connection of the Steering Head wiring harness (black cable with 5 mm eyelet) to ensure a correct earth connection.
The black ground cable to the Engine with 6 mm eyelet must be connected to the VAPE CDI.
Either Screw it directly to the CDI or screw it to the Crankcase if the CDI is equipped with the ground cable 58484031.
We always recommend installing the separate ground cable.
With the appropriate wiring harness,a VAPE Classic Voltage Regulator can be installed without having to re-crimp the plugs.
Conclusion:The perfect plug-and-play solution for all those who don’t want to delve deeper into scooter electrics but prefer to “plug together” according to instructions.
